Our Data Centres
A controlled data centre approach
A data centre is more than the room where a server is installed. Physical access, power, cooling, connectivity, hardware, operating systems, monitoring, backups and support work together to create the environment in which a digital service operates. Nettescil evaluates data centre services as an operational structure for the customer service, not simply as a location or a list of technical terms.
The right questions are as important as the equipment itself. A clear scope, measurable checks and assigned responsibilities make infrastructure decisions easier to operate. A corporate website, online store, email environment, licensing automation and database-heavy application can each require a different balance of resources and management.
Physical environment and access
Equipment placement, cabling, power distribution, environmental conditions and physical access belong to the facility layer. Customers need to know not only where a device is located, but also how the environment is managed and how an incident is handled. Certifications, facility tiers, energy redundancy or security standards should be mentioned only when they are documented for the selected service.
Network and traffic management
Availability depends on more than connection speed. Routing, latency, packet loss, connection diversity and load affect web traffic, DNS, email and external APIs differently. Response times, connection errors, intermittent failures and provider delays should be recorded separately. For domain or licence automation, a request ID, timestamp and exact error message help distinguish the application, local network and external provider.
Power, cooling and continuity
Power, temperature, humidity, equipment density and maintenance windows influence the physical operation of servers. They are important but do not alone guarantee that every application will be available in every circumstance. A practical continuity plan also includes application backups, database copies, DNS rollback and an alternative response for a serious incident.
Security, monitoring and support
Security includes physical access, network boundaries, operating system configuration, panel accounts, application code and customer permissions. Administrative access should be limited by role, important changes recorded and backup access controlled separately. TLS, firewalls, traffic controls and monitoring should be checked on the actual service. Real user journeys such as homepage, login, product, cart, payment, customer panel, email and support should also be tested; an HTTP response alone is not proof of a correct workflow.
Backups and recovery
Files, databases, media, configuration, email and required licence settings need a known retention and ownership model. Creating an archive is only the first step. Its integrity and the recovery of a sample file and database record should be tested. During recovery, DNS, SSL, database, email and application checks should follow a documented order to avoid unnecessary changes.
Plan your infrastructure with Nettescil
For a new service, document the domain, application technology, expected traffic, database, email, backup and management responsibilities. For a migration, define source and target, archives, DNS, SSL, email scope and acceptance tests before changing production. Share your project through our contact page; Nettescil can help you create a practical, verifiable and controlled starting plan.
Frequently asked questions
What should I check first?
Review resources, network, email, backup ownership, security and support together. Storage alone is not enough.
Does a facility guarantee my website?
No. Code, DNS, databases, licences, backups and customer configuration also affect the result.
Why test a backup?
An archive may exist without being restorable. A file and database test confirms practical recovery.
What is needed before a migration?
Define source, target, software versions, backups, DNS/SSL, email scope and acceptance tests.
